Beruflicher WerdegangBruna Elena Giacopini, Pedagogist responsible of the Coordinating Pedagogical team at the Istituzione Scuole e Nidi d'infanzia of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, Italy. After a University Degree in Pedagogy at the University of Bologna, she gave sense and meaning to her professional activity as a pedagogist in the ongoing dialogue and exchange with different national and international experiences. Since 1977 she has been collaborating with the Educational Project 0-6, of the Infant-toddler centres and preschools of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. She is member of the Gruppo Nazionale Nidi Infanzia (the National Group for Infant-toddler centres), organization founded by Loris Malaguzzi, 25 years ago. She currently coordinates, on behalf of the Istituzione Scuole e Nidi d'infanzia - Municipality of Reggio Emilia, one Infant-toddler center and one preschool. She is the referencce point for the management of human resources for 12 Infant-toddler centres and preschools and she is also responsible of national relationships with the aim of facilitating the exchange of experiences amontg subjects/organizations that work in the educational field. Since 1996 she has been coordinating, both from a pedagogical and cultural point of view, the Remida, Creative Recycling Centre, which draws the attention on the importance to have an original, multisensorial look, able to re-invent the use of matter and wasting materials and industrial and craft production rejects. The environments of schools are also considered through these presences that stimulate a relation to be regenerated, to be renewed between these materials, the children, learning processes and environments. She collaborated to the elaboration of the project of the Remida Day (this year in its 7th edition with an International dimension) which promotes cultural events around the theme of creative recycling in the cities part of the Remida network. She was member of the Coordinating team of the project "Reborn Objects" within the European Initiative Connect, between Italian partners (Naples, Reggio Emilia and Turin), Finnish partners (Lathi, Valkeakosky), French Partners (Blois, Sète) with the aim to build a network of relationships among different Creative Recycling Centres (2000/2001). These experiences gave birth to an International network of Remida centres in Italy, Denmark and Australia. She participated and coordinated national and international professional development projects in collaboration with different organizations and research entities. In particular, she has been coordinating, from 1996 to 1999, the convention between the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and the Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione (Ministry of Education), that had as aim the development of a three years programme to improve the quality in Italian preschools. Since 1997 she coordinates exchange projects among experiences (infant-toddler centres, preschools) with professional development percourses within a convention between the Region Emilia Romagna and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, which involves national, municipal, cooperative and catholic educational services of 35 Municipalities in the Emilia Romagna Region. She participated as speaker in national and international Conferences and Seminars. Among these Conferences: Barcelona, Madrid (Spain), Porto Alegre (Brazil), Hamburg, Berlin, Brandeburg, Tubing, Kuritz, Essen, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Bielefeld, Burghausen (Germany), Atlanta (United States of America), Randers, Roskilde (Denmark), Amsterdam, Tirana, Jonkoping (Sweden), Exeter (United Kingdom), Hong Kong, Perth (Australia), Turin, Milan, Lecco, Naples, Bologna, Palermo, Camerino, Lecce, Ancona, Trento, Forlì, Genua, Reggio Emilia, Teramo, Bolzano, Catania, Sorrento, Rimini … She also published articles on books and Italian and international newsletters. She also edited the book "Remida Day muta… menti" published by Reggio Children, 2004. |
